@Ananth
internet connection is not a precondition for gps to work when using ovi maps...
you can always prevent ovi maps to use your internet connection by changing the navigation settings...
ovi maps would then solely depend on the gps...

hello, i just bought my nokia e72, and just updated. ive been trying to use the ovi maps, but having a hard time using it (1st time experience with gps). maybe u could do a tutorial on how to use ovi maps offline (ie, how to find places/drive to/bookmark places).

its just a suggestion :)

ovi maps sucks? how come? i'm pleased with it, i used while walking and it was just fine, then used while in a car and, again, had no problem tracing my position. i did noticed that on a low-speed connection it takes longer to calibrate it , but after that it works flawless.
