New software update – 022.007


Nokia published new software update for the Nokia E72. The new software version is 022.007.

To display current phone software version type  *#0000# or Menu->Ctrl. panel->Phone->Device mgr.

From same screen it’s possible to check if new software available for your phone: Options-> Check for update.

If software update available for your phone just confirm the software update. The software downloads, Phone restarts and then the new version installs. The complete update takes about 5 minutes.

You might find that the new version is not available for your phone. Nokia releases different software versions updates according to region and operator.

The only change I have noticed after upgrading is fixing the contacts key issue. In the old version long press on the contacts key didn’t create new contact like it should.

    Its not ready in Norway yet… What is the productnumber on yours ?

    0592210 dont have the update yet :S

    - The phone hangs, and only shows the homescreen

    - It loses signal, the phone asks for accesspoints all the time

    - SMS get stored in outbox and never gets sent

    - Big problems recieving signal

    - The “spacebar” stops to function

    - The alarmclock doesnt always work because of point 1.

    Did it fix any of those problems ?

      Well it’s too early to say about the stability issues although it looks like the phone is much more stable.
      I didn’t have lost of signal issues before or after the update.
      What do you mean spacebar stops to function?

    After the last update-GPS signal is mach stronger,bud Garmin Mobile still not running.All of the rest function work normal.”The “spacebar” stops to function”-on my after restart-work.Any ideas for Garmin?

    The update does not impact the keypad in any way, does it?

    I’m struggeling with my Q being A, W being Z and a couple of other buttons are not what they should be.
    Do you have any suggestions for fixing that?

      I’m not familiar with this issue. Maybe this problem related to the installed language. If your phone menus are not in English try to change them to English.

    Installed the update yesterday :D Its seems stable now… Do someone know where I can find a changelog ?

    hi guys. I upgraded to 22.007 and when composing an email it does not show a list of matches like the old firmware did as I type letters in the ‘To’ field. Is there an option to enable showing matches from contacts?

    The upgraded 22.007, is taken away from the update servers. There are several bugs and problems with this upgrade.

    The biggest issue remains that the phone drops letters when typing to fast. Especially on the keys that have numbers. Don’t think 23.002 will fix this. Does anyone else have this keyboard problem. Try typing rororororor fast and you only get roooorooo.

    Im in Canada, with a E72-2 and the latest software is 022.007
